Fostering In Cambrdgeshire

Foster carers play a crucial role in offering stability and security to children in care across Cambridgeshire. By opening their homes, they provide the consistency, warmth and reassurance that vulnerable young people need in order to feel safe and settled.

A nurturing fostering environment gives children the opportunity to grow, learn and rebuild their confidence. With patient guidance and steady support, foster carers help young people develop the skills and resilience they need for the future. The care they provide is not just practical — it is life-changing.

If you live in Cambridgeshire and have ever considered fostering, now could be the time to explore it properly. What might be possible if you took that first step?

Why Foster With Us?

Fostering Hearts is an independent fostering agency built around strong relationships and consistent support. When you join us, you become part of a close-knit community of carers and professionals who are all committed to providing safe, nurturing homes for vulnerable children.

We keep our supervising social worker caseloads low — around six families — so you receive meaningful, responsive support rather than feeling overlooked. Alongside 24/7 guidance, we provide high-quality training, ongoing development opportunities and regular supervision to help you feel confident in your role.

We also recognise the practical commitment fostering involves. Our fostering fees are £479.50 per week for children aged 0–10 and £507.50 per week for young people aged 11+, helping to provide financial stability while you focus on caring for a child. Emotional support, peer connection and a genuine sense of belonging sit at the heart of everything we do.

Joining Fostering Hearts is not simply signing up to an agency. It is choosing to be part of a supportive, family-run organisation where your contribution matters — and where, together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people.

“In the next three years, our goal is to recruit 14 more fostering families in Cambridgeshire and make a meaningful contribution to our local community. We are committed to providing the best possible care for all vulnerable children and will strive to do so with dedication and devotion.”
Emma Rawlinson, Registered Manager

our job is find the spark in every child

At Fostering Hearts, we are passionate about helping every child discover their strengths and believe in their own potential. Our foster carers provide thoughtful, individualised support that encourages children to explore their interests, build new skills and grow in confidence at their own pace. We understand that children in care may need time, patience and consistency before they feel ready to fully engage. That is why we focus on creating safe, nurturing homes where open conversations are encouraged, achievements are celebrated and everyday experiences — from hobbies and clubs to educational outings — help broaden horizons and build self-esteem.

Fostering with us means looking beyond immediate needs. It means recognising each child as an individual with talents, dreams and possibilities. Together with our carers, we work to ensure every young person has the opportunity to discover who they are and move towards a future filled with hope and opportunity.
