Fostering In Oxfordshire

Foster carers play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of children across Oxfordshire and throughout the UK. For many young people who cannot remain with their birth families, fostering provides the safety, consistency and reassurance they urgently need. A stable home, supported by dedicated carers, can make a profound difference to a child’s future.

By offering steady guidance, patience and encouragement, foster carers help vulnerable children rebuild confidence and begin to believe in their own potential. Regardless of their early experiences, every child deserves the chance to grow, achieve and look ahead with hope — and foster carers are central to making that possible.

If you are considering fostering in Oxfordshire and would like to understand the process, support and financial package in more detail, you can download our guide to fostering to take the next step.

Why Foster With Us?

Becoming a foster carer with Fostering Hearts means joining a supportive, values-led community focused on changing young lives for the better. You are not simply stepping into a role — you are becoming part of a close network of carers and professionals who share the same commitment to providing safe, nurturing homes for vulnerable children.

We offer consistent, meaningful support so you can foster with confidence. Our supervising social workers support a small number of families — around six — ensuring you receive personalised guidance and regular supervision. Alongside 24/7 support, we provide comprehensive training, ongoing development opportunities, and both practical and emotional support throughout your journey.

We also recognise the importance of financial stability. Our fostering fees are £479.50 per week for children aged 0–10 and £507.50 per week for young people aged 11+, helping you focus on providing the best possible care.

Joining Fostering Hearts is about being part of something purposeful and supportive — a community where you are valued, encouraged and empowered to make a lasting, positive difference in a child’s life.

“We are dedicated to recruiting 13 new fostering families in Oxfordshire over the next 36 months, we want to make a real difference locally”

our job is find the spark in every child

At Fostering Hearts, we are committed to helping every child discover their strengths and build confidence in who they are becoming. We provide our foster carers with tailored guidance, training and practical resources so they can create nurturing, structured homes where young people feel supported to explore their interests and develop their abilities.

Through everyday experiences — whether that’s encouraging hobbies, supporting school progress, planning enriching outings or simply making time for meaningful conversations — our carers help children feel heard and valued. These moments often play a powerful role in building self-belief and resilience.

We look beyond simply meeting immediate needs. Our focus is on the whole child — ensuring they have a safe space to express themselves, try new things and begin to understand their own potential. With the right support and positive role models, young people can start to see what they are capable of achieving.
